Red Fountain Grass

The Chinese Fountain Grass, also known as Pennisetum Alopecuroides, is a beautiful ornamental grass that is native to Asia. It is a clump-forming perennial that grows up to 40-60cm in height and spreads up to 60cm in width.

The plant has narrow, green leaves that grow up to 60cm long and 1cm wide. The leaves are soft and arch gracefully, giving the plant a delicate and elegant appearance. The Chinese Fountain Grass produces long, slender flower spikes that emerge from the center of the plant in late summer.

The flower spikes are 15-20cm long and are covered in soft, fluffy, cream-colored flowers that resemble a fountain. The flowers persist well into the fall and add a beautiful texture and movement to the garden. This plant is easy to grow and requires minimal maintenance. It prefers full sun to partial shade and well-drained soil. It is drought-tolerant and can withstand heat and humidity.
